TL;DR
Doify will look after your data and won't sell it to other companies or use it for anything other than what is outlined in this policy or for what is required for the application to function.
The personal data stored by Doify is the email address, name, and image URL associated with the Todoist account you signed in with.
Doify's data is stored on servers and processed in the EU, therefore we are subject to EU laws and regulations such as GDPR.
Who Runs Doify?
Doify is solely developed, built, and maintained by one person (Coner Murphy).
Todoist Data
As part of signing up for Doify, we request read/write access to your Todoist account. This is required for Doify to function as we perform actions such as:
- Moving tasks between projects (write)
- Moving tasks between sections on a project (write)
- Moving tasks between parent tasks (write)
- Reading your projects (read)
- Reading your tasks within a project (read)
- Reading your labels (read)

Deletion of your data
At any time you may request the cancellation of your subscription and the deletion of your data. This will remove all the data we have associated with you including your email address collected from Todoist and all other Todoist-provided data.
Error Monitoring
We use Sentry to monitor and fix errors in Doify. Sentry receives error reports that may include a pseudonymous internal account identifier to help us diagnose issues. No directly identifying information (such as your email address) is sent to Sentry.
Cookies and Analytics
Doify uses cookies to understand how you use the application and to improve your experience. Before any analytics cookies are set, we ask for your explicit consent via a cookie banner. You can change your preference at any time in your account settings.
If you decline cookies, we fall back to privacy-preserving, cookieless analytics that cannot identify you.
We use the following analytics providers:
- Fathom Analytics: cookieless privacy-friendly analytics
- Posthog: product analytics, session recordings, surveys (after consent given)
A consent preference cookie (doify_consent) is set regardless of your choice. This cookie is strictly necessary to remember your preference and does not require consent. It expires after 6 months, at which point you will be asked again.
An authentication cookie (__session) is also set regardless of your cookie consent choice. This cookie is strictly necessary to allow you to authenticate with Doify and be able to use the application.
External service providers/processors
Doify will send your data to the below services to allow us to provide the service(s) we offer.
- Kit: newsletter email provider (email address)
- Polar: payment processing and subscription management for paid plans
- Posthog: (EU hosting) product analytics, session recordings, surveys (after consent given). If consent is declined, cookieless privacy-friendly tracking is used.
- Sentry: error monitoring and logging (pseudonymous data only, under legitimate interest)
Should the list of external service providers/data processors change, this page will be updated accordingly.
Data Retention
Below is how long you can expect us to retain your data.
- Account data: retained for as long as your account is active. Deleted upon request
- Analytics data: retained according to PostHog's retention policies
- Consent preference: stored in a browser cookie for 6 months, can be cleared by the user sooner
- Error reports: retained in Sentry for 30 days

Doify does link to external sites that are not operated by us. We have no control over the content or practices of these sites, and cannot accept responsibility or liability for their respective privacy policies.
